Ameland's red and white lighthouse immediately catches the eye. This 55-metre-high lighthouse has not been used by the coast guard since 2005, but it is still used as an exhibition space. You can visit the lighthouse for a beautiful view of the island.

Walking to Hollum beach, you pass through a beautiful nature area with dunes and woods. In the Hollumerbos, you will find several playgrounds, a duck pond and a small gnome village.
