Furthermore, in this region you will come across unusual water birds that gather in and around the largest and wettest National Park in the Netherlands, Oosterschelde.

Two tips definitely include the Kabbelaarsbank nature reserve and the woods near Burgh-Haamstede. Would you rather build sandcastles together and then go out for dinner? You can! Brouwersdam is a unique destination that connects Zeeland with South Holland, but also separates the Grevelingenmeer from the North Sea. There is no shortage of sun, sea and water sports in this area. In Ouddorp, you will experience history while on the bunker route. This 1.5 kilometre long walking tour takes you past various bunkers dating from the Second World War. Don't forget to visit Zierikzee if you want to soak up even more history. The impressive story of this harbour town is told based on 500 monuments. There are lovely shops and terraces on the charming streets. After all, it's still a holiday!
